My dear lost one: (5.00 / 1) (#1)

Grin and ignore it.

Yes, it is fitting to briefly mourn the man's testes, but do not allow yourself to slip into a quagmire just because he was howling about Global Industrial Capitalism when he mutilated himself. It could as easily have been Religion, or a Football Match, or Damaging Familial Structures, or Mysterious Delays In The Article Queue.

Go to a Clean, Healthy Tavern, and tell everyone there that it is your birthday.

that commenting on mysterious delays in the queue is like showing dogs fear.

Then again, I have an entirely rational and well-documented a priori suspicion of fierce dogs.

Devoid of our suspicions, we are but pawns of any would-be authority that might stumble across our paths.

These observations aside, I would have you note that the Mystery in question has been offered up only as a hypothetically plausible but entirely immaterial justification that might, for the sake of argument, be promulgated by the observably insane individual in Brazil who was clearly predisposed to self-mutilation.

Got it?

Good.

I sincerely hope we don't have to suffer through an entire article of this sort of writing.

Don't worry. (none / 0) (#6)

Any supposed "article" would be written by a Sober Slave. That comment was written by a rather Drunken Slave. DrunkenSlave, unfortunately, does not get bored with itself as quickly as SoberSlave.

Yeah, right. And guys understand menstruation.

Think of the alternative... (none / 0) (#7)

You could get a job and then if it didn't work out, you'd be miserable. And you'd have to go to your miserable job for 1/3 - 1/2 of your day, and deal with equally miserable or annoyingly cheerful people during that time, and do annoying/frustrating/boring work during that time, and deal with a scary/boring/annoyingly gung ho boss. As the veteran of a horrible job, let me tell ya, it's no fun.

At least without a job your time is your own.

find a job where the boss is so cool he lets you work from home and keep whatever schedule you want while paying you a decent salary and giving you free insurance.

think i'll go take a nap.

I will protest in a somewhat similar fashion. (none / 0) (#9)

I think I'm going to cut my fingernails in protest of being laid off.<p>
At the very least, I need my juevos for making sperm to sell to lesbians that want to have babies if I can't find any other line of work. Actually, that doesn't sound like a bad idea even if I get a $100,000 a year job too.

Alas, the "Lesbians who want to have babies" market is just not as large as one would hope.

Being jobless and living in Canada?

Job market for code monkeys in Toronto sucks and I'm running out of things to do. For chrissakes, I went to a TV pilot preview last night! Thank G*d for sites like this one where I can properly waste my time.

What does one do?

What?! (none / 0) (#11)

I'm a 3rd year Electrical Engineering student, and I got a nice 4 month co-op at BrucePower for January. And I live in Nova Scotia, poorist of the poor. So stop your complaining, least you end up a whiny blue light operator at KMart.

Better yet, you could invest in your future, and get some transferable skills/qualifications that will make getting a well paying job in the future easier.
