What other sport (cough) do you know of that not only has the out come already
determined but all remote chances of randomness have been removed, leaving but
just one out come? The sole purpose of the participants in this sport is to pretend
that the out come is NOT fixed. Am I the only person who finds this very strange?
What has caused our society to sink so low in to the realms of this gladiator fantasy
fixation that we feel with have to have it acted out in front of us (daily) by scantily
cladded muscle bound methane monsters. If you're going to have the old "good
verses evil " scenario acted out for you then try reading a fucking book. Try fast
forwarding a Star Wars movie to the light saber duel while sniffing nitrous oxide.
That has got to be better for your mental health than watching someone pretend to
bludgeon someone else to death while their fans cheer them on. Hell wait 15 mins
and you can watch it happen again! Same out come, different boneheads. Shit, guys
love this stuff but at least wrap a fucking story around it to put some content or
meaning behind it. At this point the grand scheme of the wrestling world has
become a pointless infomercial to sell you anything from dead meat on a stick to
T-shirts.

Well I guess if I was 6 ft. tall and weighed 275 pounds, with no trade skills and out
of work I 'd probably think differently. Then again.... probably not. Guys are just
little boys in big bodies who haven't changed a damn bit since they blew up that
frog with a firecracker in the back yard when they were 10. We evolve a little bit
and learn that these are things we don't do while Aunt Gladass is visiting with our
cousins. You learn to wait until she is in the front yard with mom before lighting that
fuse hanging out of that poor frogs mouth. We grow up and learn self control or at
least we pretend to when people are looking.
I guess watching the scripted act of the pain and humiliation of another human
being, can now be considered normal entertainment. Maybe the whole idea is that
its a form of release or venting. To passively observe the crap being beat out of a
guy wearing a mask and makeup. For me that doesn't even fall in to any category
that contains the words "relaxation" or a "good time". Call me a intellectual stuck up
middle class cretan but I gave up kicking the shit out of people and calling it a good
time a long time ago. In fact I don't ever remember it being a hobby but damn if a
fight ever broke out at school or the park a group of people always gathered
around to watch. It didn't take long for some bean counter to turn it in to a
franchised entertainment commodity, ahhh... err... I mean sport.
