New Poetry

Readers of my last poem keep asking where they can find more of my work. My poetry book has not come out yet and so to placate my fans I'm posting another poem here.

This poem is about a girl from my school. I took an unnecessary math course last semester just to be in the same class as she was. I think that shows my devotion but I guess some people find stalking a little creepy... Either way she wouldn't give me the time of day. She made some kind of excuse about already having a boy friend or something silly like that...

As I said before, you may read this poem but please don't pirate it all over the interweb.

A poem
Jin has returned
I suspect your dentist

I suspect your dentist
To be the happiest
Man alive

I know I am
Awash in waves of giddy pleasure
Each time I see enamel flash across your face

I am a prisoner captive
To your smile

Actually, I enjoyed your poem immensely. For such terse language it evokes powerful images and creates a hypnotic mood.

Reading this poem reminded me of a girl I was interested in many years ago. Lets just say it ended in one of those embarrassing youthful memories.

I am a suspect

I followed you home from school
A stun gun in my pocket
In my van with no windows

You said you had a boyfriend
I'm hiding in the bushes
But I'll surely have my way

Why wont you call?
I'll make you love me

More than meets the eye!

Girls and poems... (5.00 / 1) (#2)

Great poem.

I find myself in the same scenario as you are in. I ended up taking Speech class with this girl who, by the conclusion of the class (it actually ends this Friday), I really like. So, now I'm taking a Creative Writing class next semester just to be with her. Not only that, I had to rearrange several classes in my schedule to do just that. So I guess that makes me even creepier than you.

Oh well, at least I'll be writing poetry like that soon.

I miss the old days in high school. Women are better looking in high school than they are in college.
I am happy that you have good taste in women, for women with crooked teeth tend to look quite disgusting. As for stalking, it is only stalking if you follow her to her house.
Anyway, great poem.
Guardian angel, heavenly friend, walk with me 'til the journey's end.
