 Internet Idiocy does not mean

 Author:  Topic:  Posted:
Apr 15, 2002
 Comments:

Is your son a computer hacker? is the biggest crock of crap on a crap cracker that I've ever seen, and the fact that people believe him is even worse...

Flash is by macromedia, it's similar to HTML as in you can write sites with it. Check out Fantasy Card to see how good Flash can be... Something very similar to flash is shockwave, also known as Shockwave Flash. Many sites such as zoogdisney.com have shockwave games. I am writing a full debunkment of this story and was writing one saturday but my internet explorer decided to crash... Tip, always write it in NotePad first.

In the poll, if you choose other, E-mail me the name cause i like to try them all.

Please submit it as soon as possible. We all so look forward to reading it. But first, make sure you have your Mommy's permission to read this site. News For Grown-Ups, you know.

I am sure you will be able to add something to the other 8,000 + comments this story generated.

I know we're covering old ground, but, it makes you wonder. A lot of the comments seemed suggest that the story wouldn't allow a parent to accurately determine if a loved family member was a computer hacker. Now, if the story wasn't completely accurate, surely hackers would simply have ignored it, knowing that they weren't going to be detected by their Adequacy-reading parents (or the FBI or equivalent law-enforcement agency). It would have been to their advantage to remain silent. But thousands of them replied. This ONLY makes sense if the article did provide an accurate method of detecting computer hacking/hackers, and thus put hackers and their activities at risk.

I'd like to think you're simply trolling, but you really can't take anything for granted here at Adequacy, so:

There's the other explanation, that teenagers, who like computers and using them legally, do not want to be mistaken for hackers by their parents, who have read the ludicrous guide published by the lovable T. Reginald Gibbons.

I'm sorry if the article was not in fact written by T. Reginald Gibbons. I've ben trying to verify this for a few hours, but thelink to the article won't redirect me.

But maybe it will be more interesting than it seems to be.

If the tea sucks, add a lot of honey.

that the only cards at the site you're promoting which picture women are in the "pop star" and "miscellaneous" categories? What are your thoughts about that?

So, is El Nachos still deleting this stuff?

OTOH, maybe by, "Internet Idiocy does not mean...", he is implying that Mr Gibbons' article is not the idiocy in question, rather he and his hacker 'kru' are the idiots?

I do not know what you mean. I am not deleting anything. You must have mistaken me for someone else.

I too felt violated, shaken to my very core. "How dare they expose the truth?" I kept asking. I perused the article once more. "How DARE THEY!"

I was angry and confused. With hate and vitriol oozing from every fibre in my body, I opened another terminal window. "I will show them!" My clenched fist hit the desk. "Us haxors must fight back!"

I pinged and I pinged, I haxored and I haxored, my skillz were fuelled by caffeine. "I cannot lose!"

But as the hours went by, as night faded into daylight, reality hit me. The sparkle had gone. The love affair was over. My gut sank as I closed the terminal window for the last time. Once and for all, I had been exposed.

A helpless shadowy figure, I dragged myself to bed. I tossed and turned, questions running through my head. "Where will I get my lunix information from now?" Where? Where I ask you?? Slashdot??? Bah! I cried myself to sleep.

Please, please don't let them defeat you too Toby! Hold on. Be strong. Download the latest kernel and wipe those tears from your eyes.

We both know that Lenix is the only for the l33t!. Adequacy is just full of Winblows M$ doze' lusers! Hahahahahahahahahahah. RTFM! ROFL! Lusers! Hahahahahhahaha

I open my heart to a young kid crying out for help (Toby don't listen to this guy, he's one of them) and this is the response I get. You ungrateful uncircumsised savage.

Sir, based on your grasp of the english language, (and your gratuitous use of the letter z), I take your ad hominem attack as a compliment.

I've always wondered why circumsision could be regarded as civillised. Perhaps you can tell me.

I'm not Jewish, but you're close, I'm Australian.

The reason circumsision is civilised is because you don't want nasties getting under your foreskin and "An uncircumcised penis is a real turn-off. Its disgusting. It looks like the penis of an animal."

A lot of the posters here are just meanies who can't get boyfriends.

BTW don't post it to the 'computer hacker' article because none of the regulars read it, except to delete posts. You should post it as a new diary entry probably under the title:
For the Attn of Yoshi
That way it will get the consideration it deserves.
