I realized that to be heard, recognized, and belittled by teenagers, old balding white men, and people with WAY too much free time on their hands, one must use ad hominem attacks on others. Now, being the tolerant and accepting person that I am, I tend to respond more to the issues at hand, rather than stooping to use slanderous attacks on people's character. I have a theory that the people who don't make ad hominem attacks or write stories are sort of left by the wayside, even though their serious articles are very adequate and controversial. This must be stopped. Now, it may seem like I am just trying to cry out just for fun because I'm an incredibly stupid loser, but no. I am the self-styled representative of the critically thinking minds of this site, the oppressed who are not heard. They are the ones we should respond to, not the vainglorious idiots who have no life but to disrespect the hardworking, brilliant minds who are suppressed into ignominy and shame. These are the truly adequate, and deserve our respect.

Look, the person who shouts the loudest is the person who gets the most attention. It's a law of physics, and you can't do anything about it.

If you change 'get' to 'need', then I would agree.

...you need a Phi Beta Kappa key, or a staff of personal assistants, or at the very least a large and growing personal fortune earned through pure genius. You need to have had a one man or one woman show at a New York City gallery. You need to have patented something so valuable that you were sued a half dozen times over it, and won. You need to be someone that nationally sydicated editorial columnists George Will or Thomas Sowell or Molly Ivins calls up on the phone and asks for ideas for something to write about. You need to have served on a Presidential ethics advisory panel.

You need be Adequate, not just some dude with a shell account.

I for one would like to thank you for finally putting the lower class who seem to gravitate out of the woodwork to undermine our fine website. This website needs a means to differentiate the peons from the truely elite. I will call Mr. Chase tommorow and ask for some brief outlines as to solutions for our perdiciment.

Sir, you have my word that by the time you come home from work tommorow, there will be a new story on your Manhattan summer home. Also, would you like to meet sometime in the next few weeks for a couple rounds of golf? I know of several good ranges in the Cayman Islands.

Thank you good sir. Thank you.

I have determined that golf is displeasing. (none / 0) (#5)

Dr Martino Cortez, PhD,

The concept is sound, but the design of the game is flawed. I find the holes much too small, making the likelyhood of a "strike" very poor. This is exacerbated by the immense distance between the holes, and the shoddy design of most golf courts, leaving large amounts of foliage, shrubbery, sand, and even water (!) between the "tee" and the golf "hoop".

While these flaws in the sport (or game) of golf are being repaired, I have secured the services of a professional golf representative who can approximate my normal level of life success on the golf court in my place. Hence, my man can naturally be available to shoot a game of golf for me at any location with as little as 12 hours notice. Please messenger over the particulars, and I will have the arrangements arranged.

And thank you for the additional story on my summer home. I'm sure I will enjoy it just as much as the others.

Thank you, Dr Martino Cortez, PhD.

you are misunderstanding the game.

Only the professional golf league is primarily about getting the ball to the hole. On the lower levels, as I understood from my occassional encounters with the world of the Top Management, the game is merely the cover reason for a pleasant walk on a sunny day over a meadow, while making lucrative business deals with your partners.

However, for the sake of maintaining journalistic integrity, I should mention that some rogue sources claim that the business deals are just a cover reason for the CEOs to explain their shareholders all the golf-related expenses.
