Recently, something really good has happened. Two really good things actually. Walmart has started selling PC's with Linux preinstalled and Oracle has begun to back Linux...
It is true that just about every corporate office uses Windows and that most home users use Windows. The reason is generally because it is what came on the computer or that it is easy to use. Well, this might be changing very soon. Walmart has just announced that it will be selling PC's in it's stores which come with Linux Mandrake 8.2 preinstalled on them. I think people are going to jump at this because a PC with Linux installed costs much less than a PC with Linux, because when you buy a PC with Windows, you are paying for the OS as well as the PC. Due to this lower price of production, walmart will be selling 2.0 Ghz systems with 256 MB of ram for under $700.00. It's about time that Linux got some real corporate backing. Now everyone will be able to see how much better Linux is than Windows.

They sell crack now on the corner. Good for the smokers, not so good for the neighborhood.
