The UK loves war. We thrive on it. We have no national psychosis about it like the USA (Vietnam), Germany (1945), France (1940) or Italy (every war). We are used to being victorious and love to rub it into lesser mortals. We proudly sing 'Two world wars and world cup' at our international football matches. Poll is: does the UK like war? |

Maybe it's because war is the only thing that we seem to be good at these days. Germany and Japan are bigger economic powers, France has a more civilised social structure and the USA has replaced us as numero uno. We shrug our shoulders at casualties as they are the price we have to pay to be able to sup at the high table which isn't now justified on any other criterea. |
