[editor's note by elenchos] This is just the usual incoherent ranting from some messed-up 13-year-old. Who lets these kids on the Internet? Why isn't there a law?
i shall begin with setting somethings straight... i spell bad because i aint got the time to write slow. i will not argue with an idiot consider your responses well fail ones and you are gone forever left to the anonmyous. i have my own company i run linux my servers run linux easy enough... i use amd processors and i make my own comps(by parts and combine them to a magic buzzing grey box of eternal happiness) this is things you should do before you respond to me . 1: pass the final tests of college 2: read the everything by marx, hitler, your own history, the worlds history, churhill, dante, rémarque, zola, zedong, chomsky, muhammed, gulliou, 3: understand the world how it eorks and why it work´s that way 4: join up with a foreign army and learn how they think as i did 5: study computer science 6: get rid off your stereotypes now to the thing i wannna talk about. Iknow that you all are conservatists (if you call yourself a liberal get your head straight and get your life working)welli also know that you are all for elitism this is where it doesnt work out for me. Since i have read that you only want the best all of you. and you only want the best if its politically correct in your ideas. and your idea of it beeing correct is 1. american 2. non communist USA is a merge of people from over the world hence you cannot call yourself all american since most of you arived to US in the middle 1900ths century and to be a specie (like aryan germanian latin)you would have to live and breed in a marked area the same people for a couple of thousand years. There for linus torvalds LINUX is america he lives in USA and he is from FINLAND. Communism is based on the idea that a group of people would work as a unit. well if intel ibm and microsoft ruled the market hey we would be living in a communist computer regim and eating cyber borstj. do not strive for ones supremacy do strive for the supremacy of the best do not argue wether linux or microsoft i sbetter nor wheter intel or amd is better if you choosed the right one you will know it in the end grown men arguing whter their system is better makes me get flasbacks to kindergarten where we fought about wheter batman kicked supermans ass or not see you in purgatory

From your diary, it sounds like you'd be Xtr3m3 (or similar), not extreme? Welcome, anyway. Dork.

Should I use any of it when replying to your inanities?

And how about capitali(z/s)ation?

Do I need to know how to rAndOmLy cApiTAlI(z/s)e topic headlines?

And by the way, Batman was cooler because he had no "super powers", just a utility belt and a cool car.

Dude.

Batman? Seriously? (none / 0) (#3)
by Ernest Bludger on Wed Feb 27th, 2002 at 05:33:37 PM PST
doofus, doofus

The appeal of Superman, as I see it, is that he had a well-known fatal flaw, an Achilles Heel, if you like. I am of course talking about his loss of powers when faced with, or placed in the presence of, Kryptonite. This we can all relate to (sure, maybe not the superpowers, or even the kryptonite bit, but you know what I mean). That's what makes Superman more of a Shakespearean tragic figure than Batman. Plus he wore his undies on the outside. Pretty hardcore for his time. Batman's car was cool, though.

but Batman was still cooler.

This is all you need to know about the coolness of Batman. Or for that matter Superman.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go shoot myself.

It's OK, dear. So you had a comic book-reading phase during your young and impressionable years, what of it? You've matured, you're an adult now, and you've understood the error of your ways and put it all behind you. You aren't one of those scary fat/greasy-haired/ponytailed/furtive excuses for human beings who collect 'first edition X-Men' (or whatever) or argue about which version of some other stupid comic book hero was better.

So put the gun down, take a deep breath and congratulate yourself for overcoming this terrible impediment. Then sit down and have a Twinkie.

I didn't read the comics when I was younger, and I don't read them now, but somehow I managed to osmotically absorb all of their lore.

Marvel Comix Rulez! (none / 0) (#5)
by jvance on Wed Feb 27th, 2002 at 07:48:39 PM PST
I was more into the Stan Lee shite over at Marvel. Their superheroes were more realistic.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Excuse me while I go take my medicine...

Anyway, seriously, I was pretty much into stuff like Adam/Warlock, the Silver Surfer, and Kamandi (a DC effort "drawn" by Jack Kirby.) But then, I had a sad, sad adolescence.

Superman (none / 0) (#15)
by Slubberdegullion on Sat Mar 2nd, 2002 at 02:41:38 PM PST
I have always seen the appeal of Superman to be not in his limits, but in his abilities. Simply put, he can do anything. Were he to so desire, he could set up a criminal empire and spend all his days snorting cocaine off of hookers. The reason he doesn't is because of his sense of morality, the same sense of morality that makes him a true hero.

A great example of his heroic self-restraint and morality is his refusal to kill. He often comes up against enemies who could cause limitless harm, but he absolutely refuses to use the method of killing a sentient being to achieve his end of saving the human race. His situation is one that would tempt him to the conclusion of 'moral relativism'--that his actions define what is right--but has instead placed absolute, black and white limits on his own actions.

Reminds me of a Brian Aldiss novel I once read.

Most likely he's just smoking your run-of-the-mill marijuana. He doesn't sound bohimian enough to be a hashish amateur; I doubt he'd be able to post anything at all, even something this idiotic, if he was smoking something stronger[1].

[1] You can theoretically smoke heroin, though people who are into heroin are also usually into mainlining detergent and lying passed-out in gutters. Smoking the stuff would be too hyegenic for people like that, I guess.
