It is currently 12°F outside my appartment, and only 10° inside. I think I am going to freeze to death. I am begining to wonder how many people will notice. Perhaps if my landlord ever comes to fix the god damned windows, he will call the hospital... Anyone want to send me a heating blanket for Winter Solstice? Please? *shiver*

	Did they invent centreal heating over in the "Wild West" yet? I understand that there is a bit of "not invented here" syndrome in the U.S., but I didn't think it was that bad... -- Peace and much love...

	it is invented, and even implimented, just broken. You would not think it would be so hard to heat 198 square feet...bah. The windows also don't close all the way, that tends counteract any heat that -is- comming out of the vent. So, I guess we have a "can't fix it here" syndrome, or at least my landlord does... You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted, then used against you.

	When I lived in the Frozen Midwest, they had plastic window coverings you could buy at hardware stores. Stick 'em to the windowframe, use a hairdryer to shrinkwrap the window, keep the drafts out. Pretty cheap, and it'll help some. Be careful with space heaters (keep away from anything that might even think of being flammable, for example). Is there some kind of city renter's union/board/something there? They might help put the squeeze on the landlord. brrr... Why not?
