Microsoft listed 35 potential witnesses, including AMD (NYSE: AMD) CEO W.J. Sanders; Compaq (NYSE: CPQ) vice president Howard Elias; Best Buy vice president Philip Schoonover; and Oracle vice president Ken Glueck.

Looks like Microsoft supports communisn, child labor, sweatshops, yadda yadda yadda.

	First off, its perl not 'pearl'. Secondly Linus (not Lunix) Tordvelds is Finnish, not German Thirdly its Linux not Lunix. I don't know why you could not just do some basic fact checking. This site is a joke LOL what a bunch of lamers.

	About the only group that froths at the mouth more than Oracle is Sun. Oracle is in that list as well, you may note. That suggests to me that there may be more to this witness list than meets the eye. AMD may not be all that happy with Microsoft since Billy tends to program for Intel hardware, but that doesn't mean Microsoft thinks they can't use their testimony. On TV court dramas they call them "hostile witnesses." You can't refuse a court summons even as a witness, you just aren't obligated to say what anybody wants. A troll's true colors.

	AMD may not be all that happy with Microsoft since Billy tends to program for Intel hardware, but that doesn't mean Microsoft thinks they can't use their testimony. Microsoft doesn't program for Intel. Windows is not processor specific. Both are x86 chips which is what Windows is compile for. Saying that MS partners with Intel more often than AMD is true. They do own quite a bit of stock in Intel. They have been known to partner with Intel when Intel develops a new technology. This way they can claim they were a part of it.

	Can we say that Microsoft's programming tends to favor Intel's architecture over AMD? Not being a hard-core gamer I haven't paid attention to the difference, but I've been able to observe the difficulties I've had operating Win98 on an AMD-based board as opposed to an Intel-based board. There are a lot of factors to consider, and differences in the CPU can't be ignored. A troll's true colors.

	Sometimes there are little differences in the way that Intel chips handle various tasks compared to Intel chips. There are some times when you take into account various features that may be in say Intel chips that are lacking from those in AMD chips. It may aldo be a problem with the chipset though. I have run across some projects that work well with both processors but not AMD processors using certain chipsets. Of course you are going to have that no matter what. You can sit there and claim that your program will work with such and such but it doesn't always work the way that you want it to. Take XP for example. The XP Upgrade Advisor from Microsoft (a small program you download to test the compatiblity of your system with XP) may say that one piece of hardware will have problems and another will work better. Once you install it though it may be the other way around or both devices may not work at all. Many people have encountered numerous headaches with XP even with clean installs.
