This is exactly the path that Natural Selection has laid out for the geeks. They came on the scene and provided us with wonderful technology. Now that their work is complete, their kind can die out. Given that they are overwhelmingly male, their decision to socialize only with one another should ensure that their death rate handily exceeds their birth rate.
