Sorry folks, it's been a long time since I've had my newsletter. Due to the recent downturn in ecomonic activity (thanks to our hacker/g**k sector), we've had to cut back on our newletter distribution.

I'll keep this short. I one have one thing to ask - How many people who write to this community live, or have lived in Seattle? I ask this, because there seems to be a large portion of the editors & posters who live or have lived there.

	Did you see this bit on the Eva Habermann site? Beside this she has also produced a german cinema production based on the famous story of "Heidi"... She plays Heidi, who has grown up meanwhile, but still is that naive girl. It's like they somehow figure out people's fantasies and make movies out of them! We live in an age of wonders.

	Holy shit. Listen here, this is Adequacy.org, the place where there are still a FEW of us left who actually think there is such a thing as the right to own property! You can't have community-owned UNDERWEAR, and no place proves that better than the People's Repbublic of Freemont. And you can't just dump your babies in the streets and let the "community" raise them! You can't just get in the first empty automobile or take the first bike you see and cruise away whenever you want to go somewhere. Holy crap. Freemont. 	And built office complexes. The old timers say that "fremont sucks now", but the police harassment is slowly driving them out. We've got a Starbucks now and Taco Del Mar is doing the national franchise thing. We even have McDonalds. 	I was here when the Gypsy Jokers called it home and I'll likely be connected to the (self-)Center of the Universe long after the Microsofties abandon their condos. I even have a People's Republic of Fremont passport -- no joke; it's pinned to the wall of my cattle pen at work in Tukwila specifically to remind me where I belong. As to whether the rumors are true that I'm one of the nude byclicists at the annual Solstice parade, I'll confirm or deny anything. ;) You must be the last one to realize that the last real artist left Fremont years ago; we're still mourning, truth be known. Besides, Shoeboy's a Fremonster, too, and he's already stated that CHLOEDANCER == COMMUNISM, which I've already successfully refuted. So just set your watch back five minutes and cope 'cause there's really no alternative. As Shoeboy has noted, the hippies are losing ground to the yuppies by the minute... The only reason why I'm still around is to confound them all. ;)

	because she'd certainly do wonders when it comes to restoring the élan so sadly lacking here these days. It might also serve to add an additional measure of cachet to her already distinguished career but, admittedly, that would be a more difficult benefit to realize given the current state of affairs 'round this village. Then I realized that you'd likely tag along for the ride... Given the vehemence of your reaction to the neighborhood in general, and the fact that we already have one Adequacy editor in residence, it made me wonder if you're our type. (No offense intended, of course -- it's just that not everyone's qualified to be a Fremonster, after all). If, however, Poltoon does consider taking up residence in Fremont, I've decided that I'd be pleased to recommend you both to The Committee out of the goodness of my heart -- and for the substantial bribe you'd likely offer up for the privilege of accompanying her. ;)

	...that my taking up residence in Freemont would do nothing for the neighborhood, no more than plugging in another refurbished PC, running Lunix. I have very nearly become a computer, an unfancy one. One thing that bugs me about Freemont is how there's that eastbound bike lane on 34th, or whatever that main drag is, but none on the other side, and people sometimes ride westward in it. What's up with that? Maybe sometime you could ask the committe... Freemont is like the small intestine on my bike route to work.

	sans Committee involvement. I suspect that the situation you've described (the woeful interruption of the bike path) is the result of the interferring actions of The Fremont Nemesis -- Suzie Burke (or "Burke, the Jerk" as is oft-heard). Thanks to her, the development of the waterfront along the canal correlates directly to the erosion of the character of the neighborhood. It's shameful and tragic, really. Given this sad state of affairs, I think you underestimate the impact the presence of a real artist in this part of town could have... You could be our Muse and our saving grace, after all.
