Doctor Zhivago was on TV last night. Why do the daffodils at Varekheno (sp?) get me all verklemmt every friggin' time?

(Yes, all you lit snobs out there, I did read the book. And yes, it's much better than the movie.)

Mayday is the day to drop baskets off at pretty girls' houses, ring the doorbell, and stand there hoping they'll see me. They've gotten clever to avoid the forces of tradition. Blindfolds, mirrors (it works like Medusa, right?), police...
