F*cking story. You know the one I mean. Authored by a certain ex president and about the US military. I posted it last night and took me hours to find all those links.

Not dicky-bird out of you lot. Has it been discarded or what? I definitely think that authors can view their stories being moderated and be able to respond to editorial comments.

Apart from that, good work fellas. Bunch of pants though, the lack of feedback...

Patience is all you need. (5.00 / 2) (#1)

The modern Internet promotes a 'Now Now Now' culture. You must realise by now that adequacy aims to distance itself from the knee-jerk, soundbite-driven reactive media. We do this by allowing ourselves time to reflect.

The opposite of some other sites, we also encourage our readers to 'think before posting'. It is no surprise then to find that the editors of adequacy spend considerable time reviewing each article before deciding whether to post it or not.

Rest assured, your article is being given very careful consideration. In the fullness of time it will either be posted, or discarded, but you will know it has been reviewed very seriously.

Forgot that you're not K5. I don't know how long it takes for you to turn around a story....

I shall be patient. Do you have a dumped story section where you can review the editorial comments similar to K5 so that I can take on board the constructive criticsm from your good selves.

think of it as like a Slashdot story submission, but more work and better.

I propose that the preceding post be made into the official adequacy.org slogan, .sig, bumper sticker, etc.

by the feckless, lazy Manc iat. Presumably he's taken a break to beat the wife, or shave his ferrets or something, which is why it's taking a while.

Watch out for that iat (5.00 / 2) (#5)
by bc on Mon Jul 23rd, 2001 at 07:49:36 AM PST
He's always talking about how he 'works out' (I think he is being intentionally intimidating) and talking about various fights he has been in.

I find him quite menacing and if I were you I wouldn't make comments like this one on a public forum.

Not for legal reasons of libel or anything - its just that iat is proud of his vigilante approach to justice.

♥, bc.

Thanks for telling me! (5.00 / 2) (#7)

I didn't realise that you wanted *me* to do it! I just said "it needs spellchecking", not "I will spellcheck it". I'll do it this evening (I've not been near my computer for most of this afternoon). I'd like to flesh the article out a bit too, but I don't know how the author would feel about this.

Adequacy.org - love it or leave it.

If you keep the basic style. It could probably do with a reworking as I was not fully corpus-mentus when I wrote it yesterday. Heavy weekend et al...

I just said "it needs spellchecking", not "I will spellcheck it".

I don't see the difference between those two phrases, which is why I couldn't possibly have checked it myself. :-)
