Ice cores. The ice cores. Dear not-God, the ice cores.

I have a new favorite aphorism: "pissing your pants will only keep you warm for so long."

Dear Mr. Script Kiddie, Sir:
Deletion Notice
We're doomed. I've known for a few years that a Daansgard-Oechsger event is, sooner or later, going to make our petty problems look like a game of hopscotch. I dearly hope that I don't live to see it. It seems that glossy scandal sheets like the New Yorker have finally picked up on the news, so there's no point in keeping it to myself anymore.

Now would be a good time to talk about death: Death of the individual, Death of the species, and particularly, Death of Civilization as we know it.

Discuss.

...how's your Prozac habit? Hang on in there.

-- Concerned friend.

P.S. Thanks for the interesting reading.

Peace and much love...

Prozac habit? (5.00 / 2) (#3)

You mean my habit of pilfering prescription bottles from people who talk about their Prozac too much, and replacing the pills with a placebo?

It's not as much fun as it used to be.

Sigh.

Once our brief interglacial comes to an end, "Prozac" will seem like more of an anachronism than "Laudanum."

As you are aware, I plan to mine for uranium in the location discussed in the article. I would like you to refrain from posting any more about this secret location. As you well know, we are under scrutiny from several agencies of our Borg-Like government for this operation.

Soon my friend, soon I and yourself will take over the world using our liquid uranium doped ice-cores.

A pleasure doing discourse with you kind sir.

A word of caution, Dr. Cortez. (none / 0) (#4)

Dear Sir:

As I am sure you noticed, the scientists at GRIP2 have discovered that "The ice near the bottom of the hole was warmer than expected..."

It might be prudent to let things "cool off" for a while, if you know what I mean.

You can be assured my team of nubile female scientists are working on this issue.

Good day sir,
