The world has been going to hell in a handbasket in a long, long time; however, this time around, this seems to be the "real-thing", not a fire drill. With the rampant terrorism, atheism, idiotism, libralism, Prozac and other narcotics -- we seem to have finally figured out how to efficiently kill ourselves without causing pain and inconvenience.

	yeah, you're right, in a sort of "Dr. Strangelove" way. People trivialize and romanticize tragedy. But is it new? And if it isn't new, why is this round more serious than the last couple thousand?

	I live in the United States, and you're right, some forms of Christianity are clearly industries. I know you didn't argue it was unique, but I ought to just note that the Roman Catholic Church was an industry a lot earlier. BTW, the Christian marital aids site is funny, and I don't consider myself uptight... but... A frigging baby jesus buttplug? :) For christ's sake!

	The real killer is global warming. People sarcastically say that the only way to solve the global warming problem is to kill everyone, but even that will not work! The only way to kill all human beings is with nuclear weapons, and doing so will only make global warming worse. We are screwed! --philipm

	Using mass nuclear weapons would probably cause nuclear winter. I'm not sure how that would counteract with global warming, though. Maybe the two will cancel each other out, and the birds and the bees will finally live in peace and harmony... -- Peace and much love...
