This story about the deaths of several infectious disease researchers over the past weeks feeds public paranoia insanely. I'm gonna let you in on the madness too because this is "Adequacy: News for Grown-ups" only. Tuck the kiddies off to the telly with a tape of Teletubbies or Barney and make sure they are out of earshot now. All safe now? Adults only?

Piling on to the already ugly burden of science fiction needing to be written. This one is called "Project Black Death 2 : Better Living Through Applied Bubonics".

The story according to the Illuminati conspiracy ideas is that the solution to the environmental crisis is radical population controls in the form of designer plagues. Best advice we could offer would be to just avoid earth entirely for the next foreseeable future.

If this is infeasible for you due to underdeveloped powers of personal trans-dimensional teleportation, at least stay very close to the ones you love is all I can say and make each day the best it can be. Love is all that counts when all has been said and done. Go make some, give some, get some, be some.

A designer plague is a genetically engineered virus (or non-viral) bioweapon for which there is a known antidote. H.I.V. - A.I.D.S. does not fall into this category because it is not genetically engineered and has no antidote so far.

At this risk of putting too fine a point here, the owners of the biogenetic intellectual property rights to the disease's DNA and that of it's antidote could name their price for the medicine. This one could call biogenetic terrorist extortion on the part of the owners of the intellectual property rights - if one could ever prove the accusation that they also invented the disease.

This is all speculative science fiction of course. The thought has merely been provoked by the account of the deaths of a number of potential expert investigators and/or witnesses among bioengineering scientists that has apparently happened in reality.

You would undoubtedly catapult from obscurity to wealthy babe magnet status were you to show up with evidence of how HIV is really an engineered virus for which there is an antidote that is just being kept secret out of bad motives.

Those of us who are involved with what the leftist media folks would have you believe are 'right wing religious fanatic' groups know a bit about the origins of that affliction. As far as a cure, try abstaining from homosexual contact. Refrain from violating God's word and you'll aviod both the earthly complications of AIDS and the eternal fires of hell.
