	I wish I woulda (coulda) hit the guy who threatened to sock me at an ATM today. I think his raised fist and confrontational stance were an attempt to indicate that he wished to mug me, but I expressed irritated confusion, which threw him for a loop. After several of my inquiries about his intentions he even responded: "I don't know how to speak". I win. But actually, better than hitting the man would have been dousing him with some noxious or odorous chemical.

	I think the women should hit men if, and only if, they are completely prepared to defend themselves. I don't think there is any excuse in this day and age to expect special treatment. 	only in self-defense, if said man is trying to mug, assault, rape or kill her. Or if the 'man' in question is four years old and seriously misbehaving. But that shouldn't really be hitting, that should be more of an attention-getting swat. Corporal punishment is an entirely different matter, though. Never mind.
