Homosexuality - Is it the next evolutionary step for mankind ?

 Author:  Topic:  Posted:

 Comments:
For thousands and thousands of years, the only way for human beings to reproduce themselves was by conventional heterosexual intercourse Often in the rather boring 'Missionary' position. There was no getting away from this fact.

However recent scientific developments such as IVF and Cloning mean that conventional intercourse is no longer a requirement for human reproduction. I believe this marks a major evolutionary turning point in our development as homo sapiens. Science has given us this golden opportunity to unlock our hidden sexualities, and at the same time, reduce America's large number of unwanted teen pregnancies

Was the fourth plane shot down during an attack on 9/11?
As anyone who has read 'Men are from Mars - Women are from Venus' can tell you, men and women really are from different planets.

Men like doing masculine things like Sports, DIY around the house, and drinking beer. Women on the other hand tend to enjoy the 'softer' feminine pastimes - for example needlework, flower arranging and shopping.

Men and women do not really relate to each other in any meaningful way any more but this could in fact, be a good thing.

Now that science has rendered the conventional act of human sexual congress redundant, I expect we shall see a furious eruption of alternative sexuality as the message finally sinks home that all sexual activity is pointless.

After all - as a male if you are not going to produce offspring by conventional means, why bother to find a member of the opposite sex to copulate with ? Chances are they will get on your nerves and nag you before, during and after the event, due to your uncouth manly behaviour such as farting out loud or leaving the toilet seat up.

Likewise as a woman, why go to all the trouble of trying to get a man to notice you, when all you will get in return is a horrible stubble rash (if you are lucky) and smelly socks and underwear strewn around your boudoir.

The message of the 21st Century is clear. Homosexuality is the way forward. Men (who tend to enjoy sex more frequently than women) will be able to enjoy guilt-free recreational sex with their friends and work colleagues 20 times a day without any social stigma. While the less sexualy voracious women will be able to indulge their sapphic instincts on a weekly basis with none of the awful male habits they currently have to put up with.

The benefits could also come along in the form of tax reductions. America has one of the highest rates of teen pregnancy in the Western world which costs every individual American taxpayer around $950/year. What better way to reduce this figure by encouraging safer forms of sex (and homosexual sex is the safest sex of all from a pregnancy perspective).

It could be Heaven on earth. (There may be some slight initial discomfort for males as their anal passage becomes acclimatised to being penetrated on a regular basis, but in time one can become accustomed to anything, and there are plenty of products on the market to address this important but relatively minor issue).

I think if we look ahead in 10-15 years time Homosexuality will be the norm, and it will be heterosexuals who form the minority group.

this is surely the stupidest thing I've ever read (none / 0) (#6)

nice try, but sorry, you lose.

I can't believe I just wasted time reading this. It wasn't even funny, just stupid.

So stupid, in fact, that I don't even feel like making any worthwhile comments on it, becuase it would be a further waste of time.

Typing this is enough of a waste of time, but yet I feel that this message that I am typing right now has more worthwhile and significant content that the story I just wasted time reading.

ugh...

Adequacy, like slashdot is not what it used to be. I remember the good old days on adequacy, but this 'new look' site filled with newbies is just never ever going to achieve the community spirit that once existed here. Time to move on I guess.

'Filling with newbies'? So what you're saying is you'd prefer a more exclusive, elitist site? :-)

It is a sad day, indeed, when "What do others think?" and its variants have begun to find their way to the ends of stories everywhere. We all know that we are allowed to post comments and share our thoughts. Please, make it stop.

With the highly effective contraception methods available today, reducing teen pregnancy rates is hardly an argument for homosexuality.
Might I ask what you are trying to hide, Mr. Anonymous Reader?

Was I the only one who found this article quite funny?

Needle work? (none / 0) (#12)

Everyone raise their hands if they know any women who actually do needle work.

I imagine this isn't as popular as a hobby as it once was.

Actually, I know over half a dozen women who do needlework. And a handful of men, as well. They're all members of the Ladies' Home Sewing Circle and Terrorist Society.

I'm not kidding, either. They throw the best parties.

Really luv'd it!
Especially: "There may be some slight initial discomfort for males as their anal passage becomes acclimatised to being penetrated on a regular basis, but in time one can become accustomed to anything, and there are plenty of products on the market to address this important but relatively minor issue."
Absolutely good humor.

I'd have to say that that's a very interesting approach to the subject and actually makes some sence. I like it and think that whom ever thought of that idea was pretty smart. I dont know about the whole pregnancy thing as being a reason why or anything, but the general concept actually makes sence (logically anyways).
