I preface this by saying PotatoError's comments are justified in that the Poll is pretty vague.
So, with that said, let me tell you about my favorites:
Good torture techniques:
Take a pencil thin glass rod, dipped in vaseline, insert it into an erect p-nis. Grab the p-nis and break the rod inside. Nice. Bloody.
Next, if that wasn't enough, cauderize the anus shut, killing the victim slowly from fecal impaction.

By far the worse torture technique. Many others are flawed as they simply kill the victim or allow them to pass out.
Chinese water torture on the other hand aims to first inflict a long period of agony and not really pain - and then drive the victim insane. The victim is restrained and has continual drops of water fall on their forehead in intervals of 20-30 seconds. Eventually the drops start to feel louder and louder as the victim starts "losing it". The drops are also apparently supposed to hurt as well after extended ammounts of time as bruising develops. All this means that the victim is constantly dreading the innevitable next drop which eventually drives them insane. Another nice trick is to not give the victim any water - this way they will be thirsty and constantly reminded of the fact by the drops falling on them but unable to reach them. I dont know who or when this has been practiced in real life only that it works - go lay under a dripping shower head for an extended length of time to see. I did, and look at me now :S <<JUMP! So what you're saying is that dropping water on someone is worse than, for instance, stretching them out until they die? And yet, you clearly have done no real research, since you don't even know of a single instance of the use of this torture. I'm sure that this will eventually drive very weak-minded people insane, more from the thirst that you mentioned than from dripping water, but I am similarly sure that more conventional and effective tortures can drive someone similarly insane. |

Put a rat inside a cage (without the bottom) over the victim's belly, tease the rat with a red hot iron bar. The rat will begin to escavate a tunnel to the victims stomach. Extra points if you make it exit through the throat. |

Some interesting ones a friend told me the KGBers used in the Afghanistan war in the 80s:
* Take a prisoner, hook up some grenades to his jacket, pull the pins and throw him over a cliff, then watch the fireworks. * Stick a soldering iron up his arse, then plug it in. * Take an iron and some glue. Glue the iron on the poor sob's chest then plug it in. Lovely what games people play with each other! |
