Fix the adequacy you bastard! It's been down for ages!
Oh that's done... What am I going to bitch about now? OK, got it: write some articles, will you? ++tlt |

Are you too embarrassed to tell us why your site went down and why it took so long to bring it back online? 6e77a 70 6e 6e7a! |

I just figure talking about the issue will give the script kitty who was dossing us some sort of pleasure. I know when I was 13, that's exactly the sort of attention I liked.

(snif) I missed you guys! Gosh it was awful, being in-Adequate. I was really worried. When if ever would Adequacy.org be back on line? I actually contemplated the possibility that y'all had finally got disgusted with this "virtual" crap and said "f**k the Internet, we're going to switch over to printed paper pamphlets instead," which would probably mean, of course, that considering the onerous cost of trans-Atlantic mail service, us non-UKian readers would be shut out.
Such was my anxiety after the first day or so of silence that I whipped up (get it? "whipped up," as though I'm so w00tly clever that programming is trivially easy) a little Perl script in Linux running on my overclocked Athlon mb to monitor your site by pinging it continuously over my employers's OC-48 line. The minute ping returned anything else besides "timeout" I had it activate an X10 device hooked up to a model rocket igniter wired around the fuse for a string of firecrackers. Son of a bitch finally went off a little while ago and I jumped so high I cracked my head on the ceiling fan. Yay! Does this mean that you are new and improved? Does it mean that you will now be paying closer attention to the articles that are written instead of letting people just post whatever they feel like (ie dmg)?
It must suck to consider the site a news site when all your articles are nothing more than peoples opinions about current affairs rather than anything userful. Not to mention that their information on half the subjects that they write are so back asswards its not even funny. |
What are you talking about ? (none / 0) (#6) | |

Everything I have posted here has been through the gruelling adequacy editorial process, and thoroughly peer reviewed by all the adequacy editors. Obviously not everyone will agree 100% with what I have to say, but then again its not for nothing that adeqacy has been called "the most controversial site on the internet". I'm guessing you are one of those people who has a problem with controversy. If so, please leave. Nobody is forcing you to read the content adequacy provides. Indeed, there are plenty of other sanitized news sources on the net if that's what you like (msnbc, cnn, bbc, etc etc). Just stop whining. time to give a Newtonian demonstration - of a bullet, its mass and its acceleration. -- MC Hawking |
