I've been checking out a few of their websites. How about this for example ? It appears that the UK's best selling newspaper is also part porn magazine. Yes really. With a circulation of around 15 million copies a day, 'The Sun' brings porn to the breakfast table of up to 50% of the nation. And nobody bats an eyelid or so it seems.

Only in Europe. I will have to pay that country a visit one day. I just hope I can get a cold beer.

Cold beer is hard to find in Europe (5.00 / 1) (#1)
by typical geek on Wed Jun 27th, 2001 at 09:09:41 AM PST
They import our wonderful Budweiser by the container ship full, but due to the failures of socialism and the overbearing environmental regulations, most European countries have limited electricity to get beer to a decent temperature.

A typical European city will have electricity and running water about 3 hours a day. That would barely suffice to chill a Bud, let alone get one ice cold. Luckily, there are a few options:
  • Make friends with US sailors: If an aircraft carrier or submarine is in port, they will have loads of clean nuclear generated electricity to cool down a Bud. The sailors will appreciate a friendly face from home, but you may have to fight your way through the jealous, easily manipulated protestors protesting our God given right to rule the world (you will bring a Taser, right?).
  • Go to a country with ice deposits. Many Northern European countries, like Norway, Sweden and Switzerland are mostly ice. Just chip a hole out of the ice and stick your Bud in it. Be forewarned, many Europeans will be resistant to superior American ideas, and they may mock you. And the heavily taxed dipsomaniac Swedes will probably try to steal your beer.

Make friends with US sailors

I already read a well known homo-erotic website. I'm worried that associating with US seamen (some of whom have been at sea for three months at a time) might just tip me over the edge into a flamboyant carefree gay lifestyle.

I am not quite sure if I'm ready to make that change, simply in order to sample a chilled rice-based beverage.
