There were the tasks I set out on yesterday:

  • Do laundry.
  • Sweep and mop the apartment.
  • Stop by the club and see when I work tomorrow.
  • Try and finish a chapter in Stiffed.
  • Do a full fourty-five minutes on the treadmill.
  • Get to freakin' bed by 10:00 or so, giving me plenty of sleep for the 19 hour day tomorrow...

Are you ready to know how many of those tasks I finished?

Technically, only one.

It's amusing, because I was going to add the task "fill up my gas tank", which would have put me at two, but I decided that my car wouldn't need gas 'till today. Then, when I went to my car yesterday after work, it wouldn't start. Not enough gas. So, I had to walk five blocks to the nearest gas station, fill my little one and a half gallon gan can, walk back, and attempt to keep most of the gas I purchased from spilling on my hands.

Then, I was able to start my car, got to the gas station, filled it up, grabbed some fast food dinner, and finally arrived home. It was around 6:30. My girlfriend was just heading out the door to a party with the study-abroad group she went to Turkey and Egypt with this summer. I was alone in the house.

I'd like to say that the first thing I did was hop up and get myself working. That I sorted the laundry, took it down to the wash room, and put them in the machines. That I swept while they were washing and mopped while they were drying. That after I folded them, I headed off to the treadmill, where I was able to read Stiffed while doing a fill workout. That I then fell asleep after I called the club and got my hours for today.

Instead, I ate. I had my dinner and after that I didn't have any motivation. So I watched TV. Once nothing worth seeing was on TV, I watched some more TV. Finally, my girlfriend came home at close to midnight, and I had just put in the three loads that absolutly had to be ready by today. I stayed up watching more television, and baking cookies, while they washed and dried.

I ended up falling asleep around 1:00, and I'm already feelng drowsy. Fortunantly, the manager called my house today and let me know that I don't have to come in 'till 10:00, so I'll have a little while to sit back and relax. (Not much, though, since my girlfriend wants me to take a look at her currently-defunct computer...)

So, that's all the typing for now. Time to get things here at work finished up, and get ready for tonight...

Should this name be familiar to adequacy readers ?

k5 libertarian, general fan of arguing with anyone that disagrees with him and calling them leftists and amusing target of streetlawyer's general disdain.

That clears it up. (5.00 / 1) (#3)

I don't read wank5est since I cannot be bothered. But if he is a libertarian, he will find many hot discussions on that very topic here at adequacy.org the Internet's most controversial news and discussion site. Let's hope he can handle the controversy!

Don't you know that trhurler is your god and is to be worshiped, while streetlawyer is the Great Satan, and has been condemned to burn in the pits of hell for all of eternity, to discuss marxist philosophy with Lucifer himself? Streetlawyer will burn in the socialist distopia that is Hell!

Because I thought you would call your employer and ask when you had to work.

You somehow forgot to mention that you don't work in the morning... (I'm assuming the 10:00 in this diary means 10 pm). If you had mentioned that you work in the evenings it would have changed my answer.

Now, of course, there is no way for me to go back and change my response and even if there was it would be pretty pointless wouldn't it?

I really want to help you out, but I can't do it unless you give me something to work with. Next time if you want accurate feedback try to not forget these "little details." It's often the little details which are most important.
