I'm reviewing the guest list right now. It turns out there are a lot more missing RSVPs, so much that only 7 out of a probable 11 or possible 14 are confirmed. Ah well, that's what you get not sending out paper invitations. (Granted, that would have been nearly impossible, but still, I'm in snob mode here, bear with me.)
Right now I'm missing gifts for one confirmed guest (a new member of the organization, and I have no clue what to get her) and two unconfirmed guests (a married couple, one of whom used to be my roommate, meaning I want to get them a gift even if they can't attend.)
This is good, though, as things aren't going to end up being too crowded. We're going to have to do something about the chair situation (us only having a total of five chairs in the apartment) but I'll figure out a way around it. Tonight will be a majority of the grunt work for the party, getting the apartment clean enough to have guests.
So, will this thing turn into a wild, debauched orgy like I'm hoping? Almost certainly not. Still, it will be an event, and that's enough for me.
