Hey, look, its yes another wonderful entry to my dearest diary!
Yes another entry, another rant, and this one is about rants.
drugs, jazz, cancer, and really really stupid people

The importance of a very nice figure

A Friend in Need
am I being stalked?
I had a dream
well, maybe not exactly "cool things", per se, but interesting none the less.

It simply goes to show that one should not type as fast as possible while conversing with someone else about something completely different while trying to read data off of a chart next to you for a meeting you are getting ready for in 15 minutes.

so anyway, like, I was thinking (I actually do that sometimes) that my basement sucks, and I dread having to put anythning in it of any value. Seeing as how I'm going to have to remodel/repair the extra bedroom in our house for our son who is going to graduate from his crib soon enough, and that there is a bunch of stuff and two beds in that room, that I really don't want to put that stuff into my basement, as the basement is prone to flooding. But I really don't have much of a choice, and that sucks. Perhaps I'll just line the entire room with plastic.

But, in my own bizarre tradition, I've included a poll so that I may provide an exit for our eternal questions.

Question Mr Geekizoid Editor (none / 0) (#1)
by nobbystyles on Tue Sep 4th, 2001 at 08:36:14 AM PST
Why is Geekizoid down? I ask merely for information. Did you slag off the tolerant chaps at HardOCP and got a DOS attack in return, perchance?

the site is being upgraded (5.00 / 1) (#2)
by motherfuckin spork on Tue Sep 4th, 2001 at 09:30:07 AM PST
I believe we're undergoing the switch to Slashcode 2.0, so the migration to the new database is taking place, and all the behind the scenes server stuff is happening. The people performing this migration are full-time employees and students, and so this is taking place in their spare time. I expect it shall be back soon enough. If I find out more, I'll post it to this thread.

I am not who you think I am.

upgraded? Will it handle inline goatse.cx jpegs? (none / 0) (#3)

That's about the only way I can think of upgrading the Geekizoid experience.

gcc is to software freedom as guns are to personal freedom.

I'll be sure to ask flikx

as a side, I believe that editors can pretty much use any html tags in articles...

hopefully, geekizoid will return tomorrow, but it may have to wait until Friday. If I find out any more, I'll let everyone know.

Take as long as you need to bring Geekizoid back online, there's really no need to hurry. Please...
